 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Water was running a bit high. Could be crossed with rock/log hops with care but most of us chose to wade it for the cool water on our feet. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in good shape. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
LOTS of dogs on trail today. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Some at the water crossing especially on way out. A few biters. Not an issue up high as there was a good breeze today. |

Just a fantastic day to be out in the Whites. Low humidity and sunny skies all day. Saw plenty of folks out today. The trailhead has been moved to opposite side of bridge from where it used to be. New section is pretty muddy in spots. Encountered a couple areas of truly boot sucking mud. A few areas up higher were wet for short stretches but nothing that couldn't be managed easily. Views from Signal Ridge were great. For those who have posted/wondered lately, the fire tower was open as of 8/10/13 and the pile of new wood is still there at the summit implying that repair work will commence at some point. |
