Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails all in great shape thought the bog bridges between Eisenhower and Pierce are in really rough shape - keep an eye out some of the metal spikes stick out

Comments
Comments: A grand day to be above treeline. Apparently I wasn't the only one that opted to take the day off - lots of people out on the trails today, saw dozens and dozens heading up and down from Washington, 50 or so between Monroe and Pierce. Lots of mud and water on Ammonoosuc but rocks on steep section were not slick. A few patches of mud between Eisenhower and Pierce on Crawford, lots of running water in the trail on Crawford below Pierce above Mizpah cutoff.

A perfect day to traverse the southern Pressies, temps were mild; a fair amount of cloud cover though views were expansive and there always seemed to be a break in the clouds when I wanted to get pictures. Took my time to enjoy the day and met lots of nice folks doing the same. Franklin is worth the side trip - great views for little effort!
