Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking at the Reel Brook TH - no other cars there all day! On the other hand, the drive in on Reel Brook Road is pretty challenging - a few ruts and washouts - the worst part is the short spur to the parking lot - really big rocks. Make sure your car has clearance before or it *will* have clearance after!!!
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Mud - Significant, Standing/Running Water on Trail

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: all water crossings were easy
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Nice axe-work all along the Kinsman Ridge Trail - beautiful work!!!! Unfortunately, there are huge drainage issues, especially within a mile of Mt Wolf - mud so deep and light brown-colored... what is growing in THAT?
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: no dogs seen today but would be fine if they love mud baths!!!! Plenty of water!
Bugs: not enough for bug dope

Comments: Nice day for this AT segment. Beautiful new (2010) Eliza Brook Shelter - wow!!! Great views from S Kinsman, as usual. Saw a few people on the ridge - some pretty tired! Great day! I had forgotten how nice the Reel Brook Trail is!
