Trail Maintenance Notes: Thanks to the volunteers for building the log walkways at the beginning of the trail to go over many mud pits. The end of Carrigain Notch trail was very overgrown, right near the junction with Nancy Pond trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: saw many friendly canines on the trails
Bugs
Bugs: lots of mosquitoes after the thunderstorm on 7/20, bug spray helped for the most part.

Comments
Comments: Lots of mud at the lower elevations. The Desolation trail was pretty steep and had some wet rocks that were tough to grip. The hike along Desolation trail was pretty humid, with no breeze. Most of these trails are covered with trees with the exception of the summit of Carrigain and a short bit near the top of the Signal Ridge Trail.
