Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, July 14, 2013
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Plenty of parking, great bathrooms.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The first water crossing going up Bondcliff Trail was slightly difficult, but all four large stream crossings on Bondcliff Trail were very passable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One large blowdown on the low, flat section of Bondcliff is large and impedes travel, and there is a herdpath forming around it. Also, between the first and second stream crossings on Bondcliff trailing (ascending), there is a large muddy section that hikers are avoiding, and widening the trail greatly.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Seems like a great trail for dogs, but no reliable water after the fourth water crossings on Bondcliff Trail. One scramble near the summit of Bondcliff could be tough.
Bugs
Bugs: Minor mosquitoes and black flies.

Comments
Comments: Was disappointed to see lots of illegal campsites in the wilderness area so close to Bondcliff Trail.
