The only trail condition to report is that the Bolles Trail before the start of the ascent to the height of land heading back towards the Kanc is hard to find. When you come across a sandy section of the trail next to a brook the trail can easily be lost. We lost the trail, however, there are plastic orange diamond blazes nailed to trees that you can follow for awhile, then there is a lightly used herd path that climbs up to the right of the Bolles trail and eventually it dumps you off on the Bolles Trail. Where the sandy part of the trail is around some of the brook crossings look for the trail so you don't go the way we did. |
