Comments
Comments: dry footing on lower holt and much of the way on manning minus some damp areas. upper ledges were almost all dry except for a few wooded sections where they were a bit wet. down over the south peak and to rimrock still mostly dry then wetter once dipping into the woods on skyline with some long muddy wallows towards the sag. more wet trail heading up orange then dry ledges around the summit. vistamont had a generally nice footbed with a bit of wet ledge high and some muddy sections as it approached the grand junction.

my first time hiking cardigan and it was a real treat. loads of open ledge walking and the breeze up there today was fantastic. felt a couple of sprinkles, but no rain. views were excellent nearby, but more distant views were hazed out today. great to be out.
