| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking today. We were the first three cars there and there were only five when we left. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Standing/Running Water on Trail |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
The water crossings were fine today. Enough water running to make for good photo ops but easy to walk across rocks. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trails were in good shape. There is one good sized blow down around the 2.5-3 mile point on Mt. Kinsman trail bit easy to walk under. This trail is being well cared for with lots of good drainage work and brushing. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Frisco joined us today for his first two 4K peaks. Lots of pups out today. Cloud cover and slightly cooler temps made it a good day for them. |
| Bugs: |
Minor. There were a few flies and mosquitoes and we applied some bug spray but they were 't too bad. |

| Comments: |
We had been looking forward to the 360 vies from South Kinsman, but Mother Nature had other plans. We got 360 views of the low.overcast and only a brief peak at the Franconia Ridge. We really enjoyed the Mt. Kinsman trail. It was lightly used but in great shape and well marked. This is a nice alternative to the Fishin' Jimmy. Trails were a bit wet and mucky in spots from all the rain, but nothing too serious. We were rewarded with some decent views of Cannon, the Cannon Balls and the Franconia Ridge on our return stop at North Kinsman. |
