Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Excellent lot here with flush toilets, running water, etc. Lot was about half full 6AM. Was packed when I got out. Lot of cars on the Kanc as well.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Brook crossing about 1.0 mile up Bondcliff and all 4 Black Brook crossings were easy. There was water in all 4 crossings. First 2 crossings of Black Brook had highest water but if you didn't mind getting feet wet they were no issue. Water levels seemed lower heading back.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lot of blowdowns on lower portions of Bondcliff between start of trail and 2nd crossing of Black Brook. Most were easy step overs but several on flat section of trail that was formerly the Wilderness Trail were large duck unders. One had a quick bushwhack. Only really noticed blue blazes on lower section of Bondcliff cutting through woods to Black Brook. They were generally older but visible enough.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Trails are fine for dogs with a few tricky spots. There is a large ledge near summit of Bondcliff that may be an issue for some but I watched three dogs practically run down it on my way back. Saw at least 6 dogs today.
Bugs
Bugs: Some mosquitos on Lincoln Woods Trail and lower sections of Bondcliff. Didn't really notice them walking. When you stopped they'd be around but not super aggressive. Nice breeze rushing out of valley between West Bond and Bondcliff ridge so bugs up top were non existent. Didn't even use repellent today.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing

Comments
Comments: Trails overall were in good shape considering all the recent rains. Lincoln Woods Trail had some damp spots and minor muddy areas that were easily avoided.

Bondcliff Trail had a lot minor wet spots in thee flats. The section that follows the height of land crossing over to Black Brook from the old Camp 16 site was pretty muddy with slippery roots and there was some pretty deep muddy areas in the section from the first and second crossings of Black Brook. Above treeline was dry. Was also very pleased that trails were so good given the length of today's hike. Grades were very comfortable, often easy, for pretty much the entire length except for wet area I noted above and some rocky sections on cone of Bond. Also of note, the "tricky spot" mentioned in AMC Guide after 3rd crossing of Black Brook is really not all that confusing. Guide makes it sound worse then it is.
