Comments
Comments: Well in my seven years of hiking the Whites this trip was an eppic failure.
Trail is not well marked or at least from what i could see. I made a wrong turn, crossed a river mistake # 1. Came to powerlines and followed upon bad info given to me mistake #2. Should have turned back mistake #3, but got to Bog pond, I could see the ridgeline that i wanted, which now required a harrowing bushwack. Shot my bearing i thought would get me up to the ridge without much climbing. I was right but near exhaustion when i got to the top. Seen 1 bear 2 moose at bog pond. I trudged thru knee deep water, got stuck in mud, bent my hiking pole ive had since i started hiking. Overall just a bad day. I will do this again!!, when i heal from all the scapes and cuts and my tail between my legs. By the way if you see a hiker hitchen a ride pick him up you would like the same.
