| Water Crossing Notes: |
The only problem, if you could call it that, was crossing at the pond nearest to the Benton Trail. The trail came to an area that was a foot and a half deep and probably five feet wide. I debated just wading it but instead went back up the trail maybe 100' and headed east intersecting the stream where there were some rocks to hop across on. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All trails were decent. Any blowdowns had either been addressed or were easily navigated. The lower part of the Benton trail could use some work on the water bars. |

| Bugs: |
Not too bad. At the summit, if you were out of the breeze they could find you. Moving into the breeze fixed that little problem. Going down the Glencliff Trail they were zooming around in front of my face but at least they weren't biting. |

| Lost and Found: |
I lost my bright yellow hand towel on the Benton Trail. It will be missed... |

| Comments: |
A fun loop. I made great time along the Tunnel Brook trail. The southern part is kinda boring but the view once you got to the ponds made up for it. The Benton Trail is a typical north facing White Mountain trail; wet and mossy until the higher elevations. I had a snack on an overlook that had a great view up the ravine. The Glencliff Trail is in great shape. |
