plenty of parking at the Dry River Trail because trail is marked as closed. Still, there were several cars there when I started and one car when I left which had "U.S. Goverment" markings - ?????? |

horrific - apparently there is a 3rd of July celebration gathering for black flies on these trails... who knew????? Deet posed NO THREAT!!!!! |

Decent day to get these trails. I would say, given the bugs and lack of any views that these are a "once and done"' for me unless someone holds a gun to my head. Still, a pleasant woods walk... mostly....
Did this as a bike spot - left bike at the Willey House Snack Bar (always seems a little weird to have a snack bar where that family died in the landslide!!!!) and biked back downhill to my car - worked pretty good. |
