| Dog-Related Notes: |
Nick had a great time. Plenty of trail water and not too hot.
On a sad note -- for hikers who have tramped with Raoul, he passed on today comfortably on a Pacific Ocean beach in Olympic National Park. He was a great hiking hound--all 48 of NHs 4ks and many peaks and canyons out West where he mostly lived. Just in March he did an epic Tripyramid hike in deep snow, followed by Owls the next week. His last 4k was Hale on March 31. Raoul left with his boots on!! |

| Bugs: |
Really the first time this season black flies were out but not biting too badly. |
