Comments
Comments: Took Zealand trail past hut to summit without incident. Lots of rain. Returned the same way and arrived at the water crossing above the hut at 5 pm. It was impassible. Only choice was to turn back or bushwhack. We had map, compass, and emergency overnight gear, so we bushwhack along the falls to a passable spot. Had to wade through thigh high rapids to get to Ethan pond trail and back to Zealand. Water coming down mountain was torrential. Trail was flooded above boots in many spots.
