Crossings on Falling Waters Trail okay - mostly still snow bridged. |

A few blowdowns on Old Bridle Path and FW Trail, easily negotiated. Franconia Ridge Trail sign on summit of Lafayette is on the ground - looks like the lag screws snapped. |

| Comments: |
Microspiked almost from the start of the OBP until a few hundred feet below the sumit of Lafayette. Switched to crampons and got out ice axe for the (potentially) icy corner. Cramponed until just south of Lincoln summit, where there was plenty of bare (rocky or muddy) trail. (Microspikes might have sufficed today.) Barebooted from there to bottom of FWT. Center of FWT was firm enough so that postholing was rare. Had snowshoes, just in case, but did not need them today. |
