Skookumchuck is in great shape. Waterbars recently cleaned. A little mud low down. 1 stepover above 4000 ft. Greenleaf is narrow in the trees between the summit and hut. The conifers below Eagle Pass are getting to be a carwash. Lots of faceslappers in the hardwoods down low. |

| Comments: |
Crowds on Lafayette, glad I took the trails less traveled. Saw total of 6 people on the Skookumchuck on the way up. Another 8 on the short section of Garfield Trail. 30 or 40 on the summit. Lost count descending to the hut. Looking up athe ridge from the hut it looked like a hegehog with all the hikers between Lincoln and Lafayette. Saw 5 people ascending Greenleaf in the afternoon (starting Lafayette at 2PM? what's up with that?) as I headed down to the Tramway lot. |
