Comments
Comments: Polecat is still closed to skiers (summit quad is now open though). Currently, the only snowmaking taking place on Polecat is at the very top, to the junction with Upper Lynx.

Trail is mostly well packed out (with the exception of the middle part, as the snowcats and snowmobiles have ascended on Catnap instead), though it's a combination of loose granular and golfballs, as they haven't been dropping the tiller down behind the snowcats. Middle Wildcat (part being bypassed by snowcats and snowmobiles) has 1-1.5 feet of snow, with a crust on top that won't support barebooting - thus I snowshoed.

Wildcat Ridge Trail from the top of the ski area to the summit has 1-2 feet of snow, well packed by snowshoes.
