In good shape overall. A diversion as it joins Snapper goes up Snapper about half a mile then turns off and eventually joins the old trail. Well marked. |

Good trail for dogs but didn't see any. |

Early start and quite breezy which was very pleasant up to the viewpoint. Then into the clouds soon thereafter and when we emerged out near the top you could just about see the cairns. Large patches of snow near the top of Gorge Brook Trail. So windy and cloudy on the top that we just said "we're out of here" as did another couple coming up the Carriage Road. Of course by the time we got to the bottom the sun was out and we could see clearly where we had been. Oh well, another typical Mary day on Moosilauke...rarely do I get a view! |
