Comments
Comments: Trail started off dry then some mud to about 3000 ft., where the snow started to show up. Slushy snow all the way to the south peak with stretches of bare, wet, and muddy ground. The slush was really bad between the peaks. My Asolo leather boots kept my feet dry the whole day, while some with so called Gortex, weren't so lucky. I barebooted on the ascent and put spikes on for the descent for faster travel. All could have been barebooted. Spotted a bear in the woods about 200 ft. from the parking lot on the way back. He didn't see me, so I didn't stick around. Beautiful day for a change.
