Comments
Comments: The trail was mostly dry before the third river crossing. After the crossing there were some muddy patches, and some running water on the trail. Patchy snow between 3400' and 3700'. Above 3700' the snow covers more of the trail than not, especially in shaded areas. There was some ice, but mostly a firm monorail that didn't seem much more than a foot deep. The North Twin Spur still had quite a bit of snow, up to 3 feet in spots, almost all in the form of a firm monorail. Postholing wasn't a problem, though it was slushier on the hike out. We carried our spikes, but didn't use them.
