| Comments: |
There was very little snow on the Lincoln Woods Trail and first mile or so of the Osseo Trail. Microspikes were the way to go. The snow was firm enough that I was able to use these all the way to both peaks and down to just below the steeps. After that, posthole hell began and it was time to switch to snowshoes.
The trails were all in pretty good shape. The ladders were totally covered and someone had kicked some amazing snowshoe steps into this section making both the ascent and descent relatively easy. |
