Haystack Road and Gale River Road open. No problem at either end. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Several folks were uneasy with the first Little River crossing. All others no problem. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Good shape. Blowdowns were either easy step overs or easy to by-pass. |

Many dogs on the trail. No issues. |

 | Bugs: |
None till heading down Garfield Tr. Black flies started ~2,900'. Swarming but not biting. |

None |

 | Comments: |
Sections of old rail above ~3,000'. 6" to 1-2' rail with isolated sections 3+'. Carried spikes but not used. Rail was firm. No postholing. Some folks may want to use spikes for the last few feet to Garfield. Great day out w/ Mike Lynch. |
