Comments
Comments: Crawford Path snow-free until a few tenths below Mizpah Cutoff junction, where patches of snow/ice appeared. After the junction, more snow/ice appeared along with monorail. Light traction is all that is needed for quick and easy navigation, although it can be barebooted with care. Bare rock on short trip to summit of Pierce. Mix of bare rock, monorail, snow and ice on Crawford Path between Webster Cliff junction and Eisenhower Loop junction. Barebooted this section rather than taking on and off the microspikes. Eisenhower Loop mostly bare and easily barebooted. On return trip, Webster Cliff from the summit of Pierce to Mizpah hut a mix of bare rock/ground and snow/ice/monorail and the same from the hut down Mizpah Cutoff. No need for snowshoes, light traction does the job. A quick shout-out to Matt and Brian for one of the funniest trips to Ike and back!
