Comments
Comments: Mud season is here at the lower elevations with muddy conditions and running water on sections of the trail, but further up there is a need for light traction. I went up in just hiking boots and regretted it. You will find monorail conditions for about 3/4 mile leading up to the ridge. Once you reach the ridge, conditions are good with no snow or ice.
