There are a few blowdowns along the trail, but overall, the trail is in good condition. |

I took my dog up with me, but it was hard going, especially going down, in areas with snow and ice. |

| Comments: |
Mud season is here at the lower elevations with muddy conditions and running water on sections of the trail, but further up there is a need for light traction. I went up in just hiking boots and regretted it. You will find monorail conditions for about 3/4 mile leading up to the ridge. Once you reach the ridge, conditions are good with no snow or ice. |
