Comments
Comments: I expected rain today, but it turned out to be nice and sunny with blue skies. The trail was bare to about 3450 ft., where the stable/unstable rail started. It only lasted to about 3750 ft. and then there was bare ground to the summit. Some ice and hardpack, but also decaying rail. Enough room to walk around it in places. I wore my spikes for safety. I saw two Ermine on the trail today. They were still white. One was real friendly and sat in a small tree right next to the trail as I walked by. One other hiker on the trail today, a lady with her pooch.
