| Comments: |
5 of us hiked up (Sat.) with overnight packs to Galehead Hut. Dry trail for ~3 miles, then 4 of us switched to snowhsoes for the rest of the climb up to Garfield Ridge Trail and from trail junction to hut. One of us did it with Yaktrax. Sunday morning descent, crispier snow, most of us did with microspikes. Managed to stay on monorail and avoid postholing. Snow softening significantly as the day goes on. Trail much wetter Sunday than Sat. Two beautiful warm days. |
