| Water Crossing Notes: |
The first two crossing are avoidable if you use the herd path. Going in I did not do this which in turn caused me to wade knee high in cold but refreshing H2O. The last crossing had to be done by shimming across the downed tree. Lots of running water on the trail. Keeping dry feet is almost impossible. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
two large blowdowns blocking trail that you will have to walk around. |

| Comments: |
Solo hiked this today. Lots of mud and water running on trail. 2 to 3 ft of snow still above 3000 ft. Barebooted up but had to put on spikes for descent. Its a spring mess right now. Tough conditions. Think I said plenty of "pleasant words" on the way down today but still great to be out. The summit was warm and the views incredible. #23 on my trailwrights list.. |
