Comments
Comments: Wonderful blue sky day with friends. Variable snow patches and bare ground. Spikes on, spikes off...occasional barebooting sufficient. Snow on trails in woods rotting and ok today but will be difficult with warm temperatures. Monorail on lower Jewel is difficult now and will probably get worse. Kestrel on Monroe: T=34, W=8, WC=25. Kestrel on Washington: T=35, W=4, WC=32 and unbelievable. Lucky us! But true winter hiking season is coming to an end. It's been a good year.
