Comments
Comments: The A-Z trail is very well-traveled, as is the Tom spur. The Willey Ridge from Tom to Field is meandering and often loses the trail, but it is packed down even through the bushwhacks. From Field to Willey there was no tracks and we broke out the trail from memory. The snow is extremely deep, but relatively firm nonetheless. The Avalon Trail is well-broken up to Avalon, but unbroken from Avalon up to the ridge. A bushwhack was made down the side of Field that meets up with the lower Avalon trail, but it is poorly made and should not be followed.
