short time window today so I headed up in blue skies past the Notch. Crawford Path a solid track from the connector and I put on spikes there. Great footing on solid base today though many very deep postholes from warmer weather traffic. Once to the Jct the clouds and fog blew in and the wind picked up . Lots of snow headed over to Eisenhower... bare rock in places but more spots with 5 feet of snow. Cone pretty much bare. Very windy with freezing fog from base of the cone up...no reason to linger and I beat feet back over to Pierce . fast trak out there today..happily left the snowshoes in the car though when it warms be sure to know still lots of snow up high. 3.52 car to car.. Great day to be out |
