Comments
Comments: Started the day with microspikes. When the trail got steeper I switched to snowshoes. I needed more traction and had crampons and snowshoes. There was not really much ice, about 5-6 small patches of blue ice that were easily walked around. Snowshoes worked great over to Osceola and back and then changed back to microspikes for the walk out. There is a definate monorail and if you are careful you can stay on top. Use caution when crossing the streams as the snow bridges are falling apart when you step on them. The right side of the Chimney is mostly bare rock and was an easy scramble.
