Comments
Comments: Lovely day on this 4K with good friends and changing weather. Warm sun in the parking lot quickly gave way to rain, changed to fat snowflakes, and then 3 or 4 episodes of heavy graupel. Snowshoes were good except on the steep switchback traverses where bare boots with or without microspikes were better. No views on the way up as we were encased in cloud. The summit cairn provided a King of the Hill contest and swirling clouds. Breaks in the trees just below the summit gave us transient glimpses of the Willey Range and Zealand Notch. Saw two bike riders on the road avoiding the long walk. Kestrel data: T=30F, W=5, WC=23.
