Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Low water - all easy to deal with.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The section with blowdowns from Sandy on the Rollins trail is still there but it is very manageable and only takes a few minutes to pass.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The steeper sections of the Blueberry Ledge trail can be difficult for dogs. Most of it has wet&sticky snow coverage and is not too bad but some sections have a bit more ice underneath and could prove a challenge for some dogs. No dogs on the trail today.
Bugs
Bugs: One mosquito spotted. And lots of snow fleas.

Comments
Comments: Trail conditions are quite good - better than we expected. The base is mostly solid with a bit of soft, wet snow on top - more at higher elevations. It snowed on and off for most of the day and weather conditions were very variable. We had a bit of everything.

Georg and I carried snowshoes but did not use them today. Micropspikes might be preferable on some sections but most of it is barebootable.

The Rollins trail has some postholing but it is quite easy to navigate around.

Snow-coverage at higher elevation remains in the 2-3ft range. But the lower third of Dicey's Mill is almost snowfree.

Nice to meet and chat with Michelle. She hiked with us from Whiteface over Passaconaway and out.
