Brook by parking area easy rock hop as water level was low. First crossing of Tecumseh Brook on snow bridge that appears to be weakening. Second crossing of Tecumseh Brook on stable snow bridge. |

Trail in good condition. Two trees at upper elevations had been chopped to allow for easy passage. |

Saw three dogs today. |

 | Comments: |
The surface was a bit sloppy on a firm base. Used microspikes on ascent without any postholing. Wore snowshoes with good traction for a quick surefooted descent. Lots of melting snow from evergreens up high. Both the Sosman and Mt Tecumseh trail were packed out on the cone of Mt Tecumseh. The Mt Tecumseh Trail to West Tecumseh has seen no recent use. The Sosman Trail to the top of the ski area was hard packed. Lots of postholes by the Nextel communication tower.
Good views from the summit and at open areas on the Sosman Trail to the ski slopes. |
