| Comments: |
There was a fresh coating of snow on the trail. About 1 inch to start and a little more as we got closer to the summit. We put on microspikes for some of the tricky spots before the Fire Warden Trail. The snow was very sticky and great for making snowballs under your feet. some of us changed to snowshoes about 1/2 mile from the summit and kept them on until about 1/2 mile from the parking. Some of us wished we had brought snowshoes. A good coating of "Pam" or any other non-stick cooking spray did a great job of keeping the snowballs off the snowshoes. |
