Comments
Comments: Waking up this morning the wind outside had me second guessing. I was glad to find the wind at each summit was not as bad as along the ridge or in Mad River Notch. The trail is well packed and firm. I wore snowshoes from start to finish for the traction on the steeps but micros are all that is needed along Greeley Ponds Tr. Snowshoes are still a good idea along the ridge between peaks. There were some small drifts that have been chopped down and there is a very nice track right now. There were some old tracks heading south towards Greeley Ponds and at the summit of Mt Osceola I followed some boot tracks about 100 yards west until the trail started to descend then they either stoped or were drifted over. The rest of the Mt Osceola Tr did not look broken out. Excellent, clear views and sunny skies! Breezy but the sun was warm.
