Headed up Castle Trail towards Jefferson. A fresh inch down low to 6-8 inches of new snow approaching Link junction. Heavy drifts were challenging Grete above treeline and decided to retreat after reaching second castle. Gorgeous above treeline mid morning and excellent snowshoe hike over previously broken trail. Appeared that the Link heading to Appalachia has seen some traffic. Nice hike on less frequented trail, snowpack up high at blaze level. |
