Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails in great shape. The Edmands Path in particular is in very good shape -- nice clear corridor, easy to follow all the way to the intersection with the Crawford Path and Eisenhower Loop. There are two large chainsaw-able duck-under blowdowns on the lower section of the trail, prior to where the trail begins to climb.

Comments
Comments: Decided to complete what we started on Thursday -- breaking out the Edmands Path -- and break out the final upper half mile or so of the trail.

This time, though, anticipating the deep sideslope snow on this unbroken section, we opted to go up to the top of the trail (via the Crawford Path) and finish breaking the section heading down the trail -- this worked like a charm. On the way down, we met two folks coming up the trail. Their efforts helped pack it out that much more. Edmands Path is now completely broken, but could use some additional consolidation, especially on the last half mile or so where the trail hugs the mountain, right at treeline.

We finished up our loop with the ~2.2-mile roadwalk on Mt. Clinton Road from the Edmands Path trailhead to the Crawford Connector.

In general, today's warm conditions are causing rapid melt of snow down low, with mashed potato snow in some sections that get direct sunlight. Up high, trails with southern exposure are getting very soft later in the day; some sections are chopped to bits with postholes, some quite deep.
