Comments
Comments: Road walk is well packed down by snowmobiles. Trail was broken out and fairly well packed down. Above 3000 feet received a ton of snow last week. The final 1/2 mile to Signal Ridge requires constant ducking and crouching as I had to push through the branches. Snow depth on Signal Ridge is very deep but snowshoes kept me afloat. The trail from Signal Ridge to the summit may be lost until spring. Whoever broke it out did an excellent job but it is now a bushwhack to the summit. The bushwhack reaches the tower from the east rather than the trail which reaches the tower from the west.
I wear glasses, but some type of eye protection may be helpful.
