Comments: Met folks at HC we haven't seen in 3 years who joined us on this incredible adventure. Easy going up Crawford Path. Met a young couple just before trail junction to Pierce who was turning back since it was only their 3rd winter hike. They decided to join us. After celebrating on Pierce the 8 of us and Zoey the dog headed for Jackson...What followed will stay with the young couple till their lasts days on the planet. Drifts were 2 to 6 feet & it didn't take long to lose trail. We did 2 hours of bushwhacking and at one point went in a complete circle. Sorry about the mess! Everyone was elated seeing the hut. At the hut we saw something so amazing. Brian got down on one knee & proposed to Aleka and gave her a diamond that sparkled more than the snow..We felt so blessed to witness such a wonderful & emotional event. Since Mizpah Cutoff was broken out, the happy couple headed out with Jim. The remaining 5 of us continued to Jackson playing in waist deep snow. Jackson Webster trail was nicely broken out.

Much thanks to Kenny, Mike, Scott, Jim,Brian & Aleka for one of the most memorable days in the Whites .
