Comments
Comments: Great day for hiking. No real issues with the trails. Avalon below the junction with A-Z trail was well packed. Areas above this junction were drifted in spots with ~ 1-ft of light fluffy snow, easily broken out. Same with the Willey Range trail: some areas very well packed, some drifted, some areas difficult to find the trail. Blue blazes helped considerably. Tom Spur well packed as was the A-Z trail. Evidence of butt sliding (with sleds, etc.) on steep sections of Avalon and A-Z trail, making some sections "slick" on the descent.
