| Comments: |
4" of fresh powder over a firm base this morning. We wore snowshoes from the get go, and kept them on most of the day. With other hikers on the trails everything got packed out well, so we switched to bare boots or spikes for the flat walk out. Trails are in good condition right now, except for the water crossings for dogs. The descent off of the South Peak was easy, with good purchase for those on snowshoes and the butt sliders. Great day out with Hiker Ed, Jim T., Steve Z., Lew D., Kwi-Hui S., and Nancy & Charlie F. |
