Comments
Comments: we used snowshoes for traction and televation on ascent. snow was pretty solid so we opted for bushwhack routes through the glades along north side of polecat. followed good lines most of the way but did go up a very steep chute that we were able to avoid on descent.

wildcat ridge trail a barebooters postholed delight. have at it guys..this may be the barebooter nirvana you have been looking for.. while i dont get it obviously some prefer this frozen cratered mess . impossible to use snowshoes on this route until the next good size snowfall. we switched to trail crampons or spikes and did our best to avoid the deep ones..once past that frustration the day was beautiful, the snowpack through the off trail sections offered excellent footing and a nice diversion, the views started off clear to the presis under deep blue skies.excellent. Congrats to Val C for finishing her second SSW48 on Wildcat A today
