Comments
Comments: Snow conditions were pretty good today, with some crunchy refrozen snow on top that slowly softened up as the day wore on. Above 3000' lots more powder mixed in. Kilkenny Trail Junction sign almost buried. There are several side trails broken out along the Bunnell Notch Trail but the all lead back to the same path. On the Kilkenny Ridge Trail one of the false paths is blocked off with some branches. Snow at the Cabot Cabin is very deep and the summit sign is about 8 inches off the ground. Moose postholed the trail after we came up and left a little surprise smack dab in the middle for the unlucky traveler. Bring sunblock.
