Comments
Comments: the spring like winter conditions continue.. once across the bridge from Little River Road the snowshoes went on and stayed on all day. Nice packed out trail from snowshoes and skiers most of the way to the upper crossing on Little River..some badly punched out spots around wet areas. upper crossing solid today..who knows after rain tomorrow.. easy going to North Twin viewpoints..nice visibility under high clouds. From there over to Gale River Trail however we followed bad booter tracks of varying degree with badly punched out trail in many sections, this made for some difficult walking and very rough butt sliding. Frost Trail the worst of the bunch, this will be treacherous upon refreeze thanks to the effort of one maniacal inconsiderate person, be careful!! views from the various spots of Galehead including the southern summit view( located 20 yards south of summit) were excellent today. Thanks to Valerie for a fine day out and all her support in my achieving 4th ssw48 finish today on Galehead...good stuff
