Comments
Comments: Gorgeous warm sunny day, light breeze from SE. Walked from cars to warden's cabin 1 hr 10 mins. w/ 30-lb pack. Easiest hiking of the season. Eight skiers + 6 hikers summited from noon-2:30 while I was there. Wind increased around 2 PM but views just too perfect to leave. Finally descended 2.3 miles to cars in 1 h 40 m.

All trails I hiked had snowshoe tracks, so starting as early as we can while the temps are near freezing makes for best footing. I did well with hiking boots, gaiters, and Hillsound trail crampons.
