Comments
Comments: The Jewell Trail was a snowshoer's dream. No post holes, well tracked, and almost no drifitng.

The Gulfslide ran much lower than usual band care should be taken on certain sections not to slip, there isn't much to slow you down should you slide on certain sections.

The Great Gulf was awesome. Nearly no postholes.

Crawford and Ammo were a mix of bareboots and snowshoe tracks. Be aware that there is an ice field below the ridge leading to the Lake of the Clouds hut. We wore crampons for this section and then swtiched back to snowshoes.

I am guessing a mojority of these trails will look like mashed potatoes tomorrow after all the foot traffic and warm temps.

Super sunny day. Beautiful but the UV exposure was pretty impressive, a lot of red cheeks and faces on the summit. Goggles, sunglasses, and/or a UV blocking neck gater would be advised.
