Comments
Comments: An aborted Presidential traverse. We broke out Valley Way, 2-4 inches of fresh/wind blown snow over a well packed base, we saw three barebooting it in the late morning, all carrying snowshoes. Once we broke treeline, it was a near whiteout, though we were able to follow cairns all the way to Madison. Up to Adams was a different story, we did find one cairn on Gulfside, but soon lost it completely, bushwhacking towards the summit. Disoriented, and barely able to see 5 feet in front of us, we called it, and retreated. Live to fight another day!
