Comments: Another day of no view in the mountains but figured that was going to be the case. Wore microspikes for a little additional traction but really didn't need them. No post holing as long as you stayed in the middle of the trail. Once we got to the steep section it was time to switch to snowshoes; enough powder on top of the consolidated snow so that microspikes were no longer helpful. Hiker Ed came by when we were on top...thanks for the chocolate Ed!! Good day out with my good friend Ted.
