Comments
Comments: Left Zealand winter parking at 7am. Got to Hale Brook trail to find it covered in new snow. Lower on the trail the snow wasn't deep with a visible footbed. As I went higher snow got deeper. The side hill section prior to the switchbacks destroyed my right snow shoe. Got to the top and was met by an eager gray jay. Lend a hand trail looked as though it hadn't seen any traffic in days. Frequent blazing really made route finding much easier on the flat spots. Saw some ski tracks near the hut. My tracks must've been blown over based on Finnski report. Twin way was broken out by the time I got there. Saw a few more groups heading to Zealand. Trip out was on fast trail packed down very well.
